Friends of Saint Mary’s

Friends find a spiritual home at Saint Mary’s. They grace us with their prayers and with their financial support, and we respond with prayers and tokens of our thanks.

We encourage you to become a Friend of Saint Mary’s at one of the levels below or at an even more generous contribution that you can afford.

With your permission, all Friends’ names will be listed on our website.

How to Become a Friend of Saint Mary’s

FRIENDS

Friends of Saint Mary’s contribute $120 per year ($10 per month). They are remembered by name at the altar once a month during the daily 12:10 pm Mass. Friends are invited to a special once-a-year video call discussion with our sister parish, All Saints Margaret Street in London.

SUSTAINERS

BENEFACTORS

Benefactors of Saint Mary’s contribute $1,200 per year ($100 per month). In addition to the Friends and Sustainers benefits, Benefactors are thanked in the bulletins for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days. They receive a copy of the Saint Mary’s floral calendar produced by the Flower Guild, and once a year they receive a small packet of Saint Mary’s special incense.

Who are some of the Friends of Saint Mary’s?

  • People who pray with us during the week and have a home parish elsewhere

  • People who live afar, rarely visit, but believe in our Anglo-Catholic worship

  • People who worship with us online and may never have visited

  • Former parishioners who have moved elsewhere yet continue their love for Saint Mary’s

  • Saint Mary’s parishioners who pledge their support annually but would like to provide a little extra financial support

  • People of all faiths who recognize Saint Mary's many contributions to our cultural heritage—music, architecture—and its charitable work for NYC's most vulnerable

We honor our Friends, listed alphabetically, who have given us permission to publish their names:

  • Mark Apple (sustainer)

  • Marge Banana

  • Mary Cranberry (benefactor)
